Suburban's spacious cabin seats up to nine in true comfort. It also provides an abundance of room behind the third-row, with 1297 L (45.8 cu. ft.) of highly usable space. For maximum cargo capacity, fold down the second-row seat and remove the third-row to open up a class-leading 3891 L (137.4 cu. ft.).** LTZ models add both comfort and versatility with a power release fold-and-tumble second-row seat that includes heated outboard seating positions. Two Engines, Two Engine Management Systems
The substantial loads that Suburban can carry demand substantial power. Suburban 1500 models answer with a 320 horsepower Vortec 5.3L V8. The 2500 features the 352 horsepower Vortec 6.0L V8. Fuel efficiency is enhanced by Active Fuel Management® on the 5.3L engine that shuts down half the cylinders when power demands are low. Variable Valve Timing (VVT) is included on both engines, also helping to squeeze the most power out of every litre of gas. Both engines are mated with a six-speed automatic transmission that uses two overdrive gears to further enhance fuel efficiency.
Your Backup System
Suburban is equipped with a series of technologies that help you avoid trouble before it happens. Driver control is enhanced by the standard StabiliTrak® electronic stability control system and full-function all-speed traction control. Your visibility is increased by an ultrasonic rear parking assist that's standard on LT and LTZ models, as well as an available rearview backup camera system.
